Behavior Modification in dog training is exactly what it sounds like: the act of modifying a dog’s potentially problematic behavior through science-base training to alleviate stress on the dog and/or the owner or their surroundings.
It truly doesn’t need to be that way as there are many science-based ways to address those problem behaviors before you and your dog get to a breaking point.
It’s also crucial to understand that a dog with a fear-based reactivity issue should never have an e-collar (electric collar/shock collar) used on them for training that behavior, as it will make the behavior much worse, leaving you both to pay a much heftier price down the road.
Let us show you how to improve and correct the issues you’re having using simple training methods so you and your dog can be more successful and stress-free in the future. We can help with your dog becoming more comfortable and confident in the home as well as out and about, and will leave you with the tools you need to succeed long term and foster a stronger and more trusting relationship.
When it comes to behavior modification, every dog is different, so every training plan will be at least a little different as well. Ultimately, most clients will need 3-6 sessions to be set up for success, and some will require additional sessions beyond that just depending on the issues presented.

If you’re considering adopting a dog but aren’t too sure what you might be getting into, we can also help by providing a Temperament Test. In most cases, this can be a great tool to give you an image of how the dog responds to people and other aspects of their environment.
